Welcome to Jane's Kitchen ("we," "our," or "us"), operated by Brendan Garrett, an individual based in Pennsylvania, United States. These Terms govern your use of https://www.janes.kitchen(the "Service").

The Service provides AI-powered recipe generation, saving recipes to your account, and subscription-based usage limits, as described on the site.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Subscriptions are processed by Stripe and may renew automatically unless canceled in accordance with Stripe and the Service settings. Fees are as shown at checkout. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law.

5. Acceptable Use

• No unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent use of the Service
• No attempt to abuse usage limits, circumvent access controls, or interfere with the Service
• No interference with the Service's operation or security

6. AI-Generated Content

Recipes and related content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsafe. Nutritional and calorie information is estimated and not verified.

7. Food Safety & Allergies

You are solely responsible for verifying ingredients, allergens, cooking temperatures, and safe food handling. See also our Disclaimer.

8. User Content

You grant us a license to store, process, and display your content (such as recipe ideas and saved recipes) as needed to operate the Service.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service's branding, software, and non-user content are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy or exploit them except as allowed by these Terms.

10. Third-Party Services

We use service providers including Supabase (authentication and database), OpenRouter (AI inference), Stripe (payments), and hosting providers. Their terms and privacy practices also apply where relevant.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY FOOD-RELATED ILLNESS, INJURY, OR DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT, OR FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States.
